Originally a farm house, it was transformed into a charming yet substantial period property around the time when construction started on the London to Brighton railway back in 1837.

Horley railway station is five minutes walk. To the north, London Victoria is as little as a thirty-five-minute train ride, while London Bridge Station takes a little longer, forty-four minutes. To the south, Gatwick Airport, a two-minute train ride, is the next stop.
